30 The man answered and said to them, “Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes! 31 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. 32 Since the world began it has been unheard of that anyone opened the eyes of one who was born blind. 33 If this Man were not from God, He could do nothing.”

34 They answered and said to him, “You were completely born in sins, and are you teaching us?” And they cast him out.

True Vision and True Blindness

35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”[e]

36 He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?”

37 And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”

38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.

39 And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”

40 Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”

41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.

Genesis 4
New King James Version (NKJV)
Cain Murders Abel

4 Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.” 2 Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.

6 So the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”

8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother;[a] and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?”

He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

10 And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.”

13 And Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear! 14 Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”

15 And the Lord said to him, “Therefore,[b] whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.

The Family of Cain

16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden. 17 And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son—Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael, and Mehujael begot Methushael, and Methushael begot Lamech.

19 Then Lamech took for himself two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the second was Zillah. 20 And Adah bore Jabal. He was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. 21 His brother’s name was Jubal. He was the father of all those who play the harp and flute. 22 And as for Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.

23 Then Lamech said to his wives:

“Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;
Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech!
For I have killed a man for wounding me,
Even a young man for hurting me.
24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold,
Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.”
A New Son

25 And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and named him Seth, “For God has appointed another seed for me instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” 26 And as for Seth, to him also a son was born; and he named him Enosh.[c] Then men began to call on the name of the Lord.

1 Timothy 6
New King James Version (NKJV)
Honor Masters

6 Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed. 2 And those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brethren, but rather serve them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

Error and Greed

3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings[a] of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.[b]

6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain[c] we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The Good Confession

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Instructions to the Rich

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Guard the Faith

20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge— 21 by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.

Colossians 1
New King James Version (NKJV)
Greeting

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.[a]

Their Faith in Christ

3 We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, 4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; 5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, 6 which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit,[b] as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth; 7 as you also learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf, 8 who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

Preeminence of Christ

9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood,[c] the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Sacrificial Service for Christ

24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which[d] is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

Uncomforted Souls Are Neither Sinners Nor Possessed By Evil Spirits or Demons
The verse below shows the condition of spirit one can endure when wrestling with the frustrations of not satisfying the desire to know God up close and personal.

Solitaire

Dear God, I am humbled. My haughtiness is laid low. I am
Vanguished and must grudgingly acknowledge and condemn  your
creation as my conqueror. The world you have created is arbitrary and
uncompromising. It seems to neither punish nor reward for its own sake,
either good or evil, the pious or the profane, and the cruel or the
innocent. To the contrary, God, the world you have placed me in is
random and unforgiving. If my assertion is true, God, is this randomness
a failure of your creation or is it a part of your design? If it is a part of your
design then I must ask another question, God. Is the cruel fate of
randomness that spreads throughout the world You have placed me in
so necessarily a part of your design? Whatever the answer,it is a pity. For
in  the midst of all this callous randomness exist other creatures like me.
You know that some of us call ourselves Children of God. You also know that
You have harnessed us with the blessings and the curse of intellect and memory.
As a result, God, you force us to struggle with the fact of our eventual death and
the fact or notion of our eternal existence while we watch some of us go mad in
Your unforgiving world. I must tell you one other thing, God. It is disturbing to
realize that in the process of coming to terms with Your Creation, the Children
of God have turned to You for comfort. We pray to You, all the while, hoping
that You are real, that You hear us, and that You like us. Many of us spend most
of our lives trying to please You because we believe it is the only way to receive Your protection and Your grace. We so want to have an intimate relationship with You. But contact is essential for intimacy, God. And you have made contact very difficult. Life for me has become an endless pursuit of a personal relationship with You and a solacing confirmation of Your existence and Your Grace. It is a lonlely solitary search. Even with the well-intended and sometimes misdirected or misinformed rules and intimations of the many religions, an attempt at intimacy with You is not an orgy of the human spirit. No, God. An attempt to be intimate with You is a solitary pursuit. It is the worse solitude of all.

This feeling of being isolated from God is pervasive and accounts for some of the preludes to misery and unhappiness many people sufer. However, feelings that God ignores you or that God absents Himself from you are not indicative of a sinner or a persons possessed by evil spirits or demons. It is indicative of a mortal life whose immortal soul needs comfort.

Evil in its broadest sense may be described as the totality of the opposition to the wishes and desires of the individual that empirically exists in the universe. This opposition manifests in the myriad sufferings in which ordinary  human existence  abounds. In this sense, from the point of view of human welfare, Evil is the aspect of creation that should not exist, especially in a Cosmos created by a compassionate, just, omniscient and omnipotent God. However, there is no aspect of humanity that is not affected by the effects of Evil. It is this discrepancy between what is and what ought to be, between reality and wishful thinking, which invokes a deep desire to seek an explanation for this situation of the existence of apparent capricious Evil.
When people think of Evil they invariably think of the Devil , for he personifies the concept of Evil. Yet the idea of the Devil is a recent phenomenon in Christian theology. The Old Testament prophets for instance never talked about 'the Devil' in the sense we understand the term. The personification of Evil in the figure of the Devil occurred in later times and its development has lead to a great misunderstanding of the nature of Evil. Moreover, although the three World Religions, Judaism (or more properly Pharisaism) Christianity and Islam are quarrelsome and their feuds are very bloody their respective theologies accord on the subject of Evil. In that, they all agree on the existence of the supreme spirit of evil (Beelzebub, Satan, Lucifer, Iblis) or an evil spirit generally.

Islamic conception of the Devil is contained in the figure of Iblis who is the Muslim Prince of Evil and who is one of the jinn, who are beings created by Allah from fire. Iblis not only refused to prostrate himself before Adam, but also tempted Adam and his wife Hawwa (Eve) to disobey Allah. This treacherous act led to their expulsion from Paradise.

'And [remember] when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command. Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy unto you ? Calamitous is the exchange for evil-doers." - Al Kahfi (18:50)
The Qur'an , or Koran, explicitly states that Iblis (the Devil) only has the power to tempt, not to compel, for mankind still has its free will to choose to follow Allah or the Devil. According to Islamic tradition, Iblis continually attempts to lead people astray, but, at the Last Judgement, we are assured that he and his hosts will be consigned to Hell. This figure is clearly related to the Christian conception of Evil personified by the figure of the Devil (Gr. diabolos: Lat. diabolos). Iblis and the Devil are therefore both cognomens for the concept of Evil. In Christian theology, Satan is also used as a name for this great being that is chief of the dark spiritual forces that plague mankind. However, the "Devil," and "Satan,"  are recent terms, only appearing in later books of the Old Testament, with the later Jewish treatment of the phenomenon finding its way into the New Testament. It is therefore this later Jewish rendition that was used in the early Christian church.

This concept of the Devil was used at least until the time of St Anselm  (d. 1109), one of the founders of scholasticism , who reworked it into the doctrine of the Atonement, wherein the deliverance of mankind from the bondage of the devil through Christ's death is described. Jesus recognised as a reality the kingdom of Evil, of which Satan or Beelzebub was the prince. Yet the this accretion of Evil into the solitary figure of the Devil, also known as Iblis or Satan, is erroneous and has resulted in centuries of ignorance about the true nature of Evil and the terrible spirits who lead it. Evil exists and at its head are two great beings of immense power that personify two very different aspects of Evil. Thus, Evil is not represented by one demon such as "the Devil" but two: in short, Evil has two faces not one.

Understanding this will give you, gentle reader, the knowledge to identify your great and terriblwe enemy -the Principality of Evil- who are the two Dark Gods that have rebelled against their Creator. Who have, since before time itself, sought the Throne of Creation for themselves. Two Gods of Darkness that plan to tear down Creation and erect an alternative reality in their own image. This is wisdom: and let all who seek it understand the enormity of it. Let them understand the grave consequences that this reality holds for themselves and the rest of mankind.

The nature of Evil is more complicated than expressed by orthodox religions. It has two faces. The simplified medieval conception of the Devil as the implacable enemy of God is wrong. This conception has endured in western civilisation and is the most accepted explanation of Evil.

Even the great poet-mystic Goethe , in his play Faust, portrayed Evil, in the guise of Mephistopheles, as a composite figure. It would therefore be more than prudent to dissect this figure and discover the two separate evils within it and their special ways of working. There are, gentle reader, two Evil Hierarchies of spirits that oppose Creation. Evil has a twofold aspect and the ancients knew this very well. In the ancient Greek mythology this reality was described in the tale of Odysseus  when he fought with Scylla and Charybdis . The Germanic soul made known its knowledge of this dual Evil in its early literature in the guises of the serpent Midgard and Fenris the wolf. In the Bible this twofold Evil is described as the Two Beasts of the Apocalypse.

Odysseus  ('son of wrath') was the son of Laertes and Anticlea, and husband to the consummately faithful Penelope. He proposed the Oath of Tyndareus, which obligated the Greeks to fight at Troy for the honour and return of Helen, but tried to avoid going to the war himself by feigning insanity. He was the principle character of Homer's  Odyssey  who endured many hardships on a ten-year journey home to Ithaca. Odysseus is also mentioned in the Iliad as one of the leaders of the Greek army at the siege of Troy. Odysseus was distinguished among Greek leaders for his cleverness and cunning. He appears in other later tragedies, but his ten years' odyssey by sea after the fall of Troy is the most commonly known tradition. Once home, he had to kill the suitors of Penelope who had invaded his household in their futile attempts at wooing her. Mythological characters encountered during his voyages included the enchantress Circe and a sea nymph, Calypso; the Cyclops Polyphemus; and the treacherous sirens and the sea monsters Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla was a once beautiful maiden transformed into sea monster by the jealous Circe. She is variously described, but usually it is 12 legs and six long necks, each terminating in a head which possessed three rows of teeth and barked like a dog. She lived opposite the whirlpool Charybdis located at the northern end of the Straits of Messina, between Sicily and Italy. The monster Scylla lived in a cave on the Italian shore.

On the Sicilian side was a huge fig tree underneath lived Charybdis, who swallowed the sea and regurgitated it again three times a day. Odysseus had to sail between these two horrors to return to his home; for between Scylla and Charybdis there existed two equally hazardous alternatives. The twin perils are memorialised in the expression "between Scylla and Charybdis," or more commonly, "between a rock and a had place." This choice of equally dreadful alternatives was presented to Odysseus who chose to avoid Charybdis at the expense of losing six companions to Scylla's multiple jaws.

In the great northern Valhalla myths of the Teutons the world's existence as finite and their gods mortal. Creation was only sustained by the due diligence of the gods. If this diligence ceased, then creation itself would be jeopardised. The gods only maintained their hegemony over the demons, which eternally desired to take control of creation, by endless vigilance. Yet no matter what the gods had arranged to protect this status quo it was to no avail, for they succumbed to the stratagems of their enemies; and the world so carefully nurtured, was to crumble in ruins with them. This titanic battle between the gods and forces of Evil, in which even Odin, the supreme creator god and the god of wisdom, was slain, is called Ragnarök, the 'Twilight of the Gods.' In Germanic mythology, this is known as Götterdämmerung. Following this ultimate cataclysmic battle a new order would come. In the rebirth of heaven and earth, the slain god Balder would return from Hel, land of the dead, along with Hoenir another of the Aesir (warrior gods). The Earth would then be repopulated by two beings, Lif and Lithrasir

In Teutonic mythology , the dual nature of Evil was portrayed in the myths of Midgard the serpent and Fenris the wolf. These were children of Loki, the giant-born god and blood-brother of Odin, companion of the Aesir (principal warrior gods), but a source of trickery and evil, and the root cause of discord among the gods. Loki was instrumental in quickening the Ragnarök, the ultimate cataclysmic battle fought between the gods and forces of Evil. His children by the giantess Angrboda were the Midgard serpent, which girdles the Earth; the wolf Fenris; and Hel, goddess of the land of the dead.

Midgard was a great snake or serpent whose countless coils embraced the earth. He lived in the abyss that bounded the circular ocean, which in turn circled the known world. Below Midgard, existed a third world that was the abode of the dead called by the Scandinavians, Niflheim, or 'Mist-world'. This subterranean world was believed to be sombre, damp and glacial and inhabited by giants and dwarfs. It was ruled over by the goddess Hel and its entrance was ferociously guarded by the monstrous dog named Garm who saw that no living being trespassed into the world of the dead.

Thor , the great hero of Teuton myth, was the arch-foe of Midgard and sought to kill him. Thor was the god of thunder represented as a man of enormous strength defending humanity against demons and the frost giants. He was the son of Odin  and Freya, and one of the Aesir (warrior gods). His three magic possessions were his hammer, the thunderbolt; iron gloves to wield his weapon; and a belt of strength; whilst two goats drew his chariot. Thursday is named after him. In many episodes, Thor is portrayed as somewhat simple, and even dim-witted, but his boundless courage and strength of arm never failed to win the Tutor's admiration. He is found in numerous Norse legends and he is encountered in nearly every career of every other god.

Thor eventually killed the Serpent of Midgard who had sulked fearfully in the depths following his earlier, near fatal encounter with Thor. It was at the time of Ragnarök, the Twilight of the Gods, when the enemies of the gods, full of envy and deceit, finally moved against them. During this period of upheaval, Thor encountered Midgard, who emboldened by the great travails, surfaced from his bolt-hole and crawled toward the thunder-god, spitting out so much venom that the atmosphere was poisoned by it. Thor crashed his terrible hammer into the skull of the serpent mortally wounding it. But Thor himself had breathed in so much poison that even his great strength failed, and although he tried to stagger away, after his ninth step he collapsed to the ground, dead. Fenris, the monstrous wolf, child of the treacherous and cunning Loki, the god of mischief, and the most terrible of that god's progeny. He was father to a brood of wolves whose appearance heralded the decay of the power of the gods. An oracle forewarned the gods that Fenris was one of their greatest enemies and that it would be wise to emasculate his power so that it could do no lasting harm. They decided not to kill it, fearing to soil consecrated ground, but attempted to chain it up. Twice chains were forged but Fenris only needed to stretch to break their links and escape. A third chain was made by dwarfs from six magical ingredients and it was soft and supple as silk yet its strength passed every test. Thus a third attempt was made to chain the great wolf but it was only done through subterfuge and the sacrifice of his right hand by the god Tyr.

However, during the calamitous times of Ragnarök, Fenris loosed the bounds of the chain the gods had so carefully shackled up and escaped. As he shook the chain from his body the whole earth trembled and creation began to crack. Yggdrasil, the aged evergreen ash tree, the tree of life and knowledge and of time and space that, with its roots and branches, binds together heaven, earth, and hell, shook from top to bottom.  Evil forces began to muster including Fenris, who together with the inhabitants of the underworld, sailed to war in a ship piloted by the treacherous Loki. The opposing forces, following ancient Germanic custom, had agreed the time and location of battle, this was the Field of Vigrid that stretched before Valhalla. And here on this field of slaughter, the gods and giants and countess warriors pitilessly butchered each other.

The first casualty of the slaughter was Odin himself, father of the gods, who was devoured by Fenris' vast gaping jaws. However, vengeance was near, for Odin's son, Vidar charged Fenris and prized open his gullet into which he thrust his sword so forcefully and deep that it pierced the wolf's evil heart. One after another the gods consumed each other until only one great Aesir remained alive, Tyr, and the terrible demon Garm, the dog of the infernal regions. The two charged each other in a final struggle that left both of them dead. Now all the great gods were dead and mankind was abandoned. Chaos soon reigned and even creation itself began to disintegrate. The land began to disappear under raging seas and even the stars themselves fell exhausted from the heavens. Soon nothing was left that had existed before the terrible time of Ragnarök.

The prophets and authors of the Bible authors expend very little time in justifying or explaining the existence of Evil. To the authors of, and protagonists in, the Bible the very existence of Evil was non-problematic: they all regarded its existence as ipso facto a reality. This catholic acceptance of Evil within the Bible is reflected by the lack of terminological distinction in Hebrew between moral evil and a natural calamity. Evil frequently appears simply as the opposite of good, and it therefore is used to describe both moral evil and natural calamity. In the Bible, Evil is described as anything that is unpleasant, distorted or repulsive (Gen. 41.3-4).

Although the Old and New Testaments mention the Devil, as Evil personified, in many of its passages, there is no full account given in any one place. Therefore, the Scripture teaching on this important subject can only be established by combining a number of scattered statements from Genesis  to Revelation , and reading them in the light of patristic and theological tradition. Even the wise John the Divine at first described Evil as a single entity, the Dragon, at the beginning of the Apocalypse . However, the prophet in later verses separated this entity into its two contrasting aspects. Thus, when the Dragon is cast into the abyss it arises anew, separated into Two Beasts: the Beast that arises from the sea and the Beast that comes out of the dry land.

The two faces of Evil are represented in the Bible as the two entities that appear in the New Testament, "Diabolos" and "the Beast."

Diabolos is the entity that comes out of the sea and tempts Christ by offering Him dominion of the world.

"Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matt. 4:5-9).
The other names give to this spiritual entity that arises from the sea is Leviathan, the Devil and Lucifer. Thus, the Evil dominion this entity represents is called the Luciferic Principality.

The Beast described as rising from dry land is the cold calculating Evil spirit who challenges Christ to turn stones into bread:

"Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matt. 4:1-4).
The other names give to this entity rising from dry land is Behemoth, Satan, and Ahriman. Thus, the Evil dominion this entity represents is called the Ahrimanic Principality. The Beast is therefore the Evil spirit that the Bible often calls Satan and who was known to the Ancient Iranians as Angra Mainyu, the Evil Spirit or the Evil One of the Avestic or Zoroastrian religion. This Evil being is the eternal foe of Ahura Mazda, the Good Spirit. His modern appellation is Ahriman . The duality of Evil in Revelation is symbolically represented by "two Beasts": the "seven-headed, ten-horned beast" and the "two-horned beast." The first describes the Luciferic Power or Principality; the second describes the Ahrimanic Power or Principality.

The danger posed by Luciferic Power is that it threatens us inwardly from the "sea of human emotions" whilst the Ahrimanic Power threatens externally, from the material realm of worldly life. Thus, the pernicious relationship is this: the Luciferic Power assails man in his inward life whereas the cold, calculating Ahrimanic corruption acts through the social evil in the impersonal relationships of modern civilisation.

This duality of Evil appears in the Hebrew Bible at the point where Job withstands all his trials and sufferings.

"Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron" (Job 40:15-18).
Here Job describes Behemoth, also called Satan, who is called Ahriman, as a huge mechanical-demon that crushes and mangles creation with its jaws and teeth. God then asks Job if he knows of Leviathan, also called the Devil, and Lucifer, and then the he is shown a beast revelling in the grossest expressions of the passions vanity, ambition, pride, carnality and the lust for power.

The two Evil spirits of immense power, Ahriman and Lucifer, work differently but in unison to bring about this moral inversion. Lucifer is the proud, self-aggrandising spirit and the Luciferic Power is one that incites the personal passions of vanity, ambition, pride, carnality and the lust for power. It revels in the split between the sexes and stokes up the trouble in households. The Luciferic Power lures man away from the Earth and away from his earthly tasks and encourages him to look inward and rely on himself and his own resources in the search for Truth. A wholly subjective experience that invariably leads along a false path to subjective forms of mysticism and error leading to separation from the outer world and from proper interaction with other human beings. The Luciferic Power encourages man to act as an individual and sovereign sentient being, to rebel against God's absolute laws, to judge everything according to their own precepts and perceptions and so brings extreme relativism in all human though and deed.

This 'rebellion,' this urge to freedom, allegorised in the Bible .. is the Great Temptation that caused the Great Separation of man from God as Lucifer lured man to turn his back on the intentions of the spirit world, on Divine Guidance, and to look inward and to stride out as an individual making himself "god-like" in the process. The part the Luciferic Power plays in the grand plan of Evil is to destroy mankind by lying traps and confusing minds along the route of its Creation. The grave danger posed by Lucifer to Creation is that he denies all morality and higher spiritual aims and seeks to negate these in the souls of men.

On the other hand, the Ahrimanic Power threatens Creation by working to chain man spiritually to the Earth. It encourages man to apply his powers of thought to the search for ways to improve his earthly existence, to maximise his material well-being, by encouraging an exhaustive pursuit of scientific knowledge and its application in modern technology. The Ahrimanic Power influences the thoughts of modern man such that instead of uplifting him into the spiritual world it fetters him to earthly concerns and material pursuits. Ahriman is thus the spirit of illusion, deception and lies; the Great Deceiver who schemes to entrap mankind in the false belief that the physical world and the sensory experience are the only reality and so materialism the only religion. Ahriman, in one sense, is the guiding spirit of modern civilisation and his corrupting influences are rampant in all social institutions and modern infrastructures based on computers. The Ahrimanic Power is the social evil working to corrupt the impersonal relationships between individuals, groups and nations. In another sense, Ahriman is the Lord of Money who encourages the pursuit of temporal riches and exhorts people to maximise their earthly powers and to do anything to acquire and maintain these powers.  The danger posed by Ahriman to Creation is that he despises harmonious, ordered Creation and wishes to crush it in his wake and to this end seeks to set in motion this Cosmic Chaos by working to mentally and spiritually maroon mankind in the material world.

Lucifer, also called Leviathan, is a spirit being that is pure thought and reason, that is, of soul devoid of spirit; whilst Ahriman, also called Behemoth, is Lord of the Physical World and is spirit without soul. Therefore when perceived in this way we can say that, in the profoundest sense, the Luciferic Principality is a parody of Christ and the Ahrimanic Principality is a parody of the Holy Spirit.

In the Christian religion Lucifer is responsible for the human expulsion from the Garden of Eden. The Fall of Man from Paradise is described by the poet John Milton  (1608-74) thus:

"Of Man's first disobedience, and the fruit. Of that forbidden tree, whose mortal taste. Brought death into the world, and all our woe, / With loss of Eden" (Paradise Lost  I. 1).
Here the Restoration poet tells us of the consequences of Adam's disobedience, that of exile, alienation and death. But when viewed in the context of the evolution of consciousness this event is interpreted as the gift to Man of self-conscious thinking by the great rebel, Lucifer. However, by doing so, Lucifer has also separated Man from his God-gifted spiritual inheritance. This separation has widened over the centuries under the malign influence of the Luciferic Principality. Following this separation from the spiritual hierarchies, Man is then vulnerable to the baneful influence of the Ahrimanic Principality that moves to persuade him that there is only one reality, that of the sense world from which the entire universe can be explained by mathematics.

The descent into materialism has blinded mankind to the spiritual reality underpinning Creation. The initial cause of this descent was the Luciferic gift of self-consciousness but its influence has been superseded by the Ahrimanic power. Thus, the Ahrimanic Principality has effectively removed the Luciferic Principality from most aspects of modern civilisation and now dominates contemporary society. The reason for this is that Ahriman, Lord of the Physical World, is the true spirit of modern technology, of the impersonal mechanised contemporary age. It is Ahriman that permeates the cold, soulless, machine-driven technology on which modern society is wholly dependent. It is Ahriman that is the guiding spirit behind the empirically derived consciousness underpinning scientific materialism, and especially its apotheosis, the computer. The arrangement of contemporary society based upon these demonically inspired systems has tended to negate charitable human relations and reduce the individual to an impersonal statistical cipher.

Revelation with its powerful imagery describes the Ancient Agenda of these two Evil spirits. Man separated from his true spiritual inheritance is prey to the inducements of the two Evil powers. Their unholy alliance has attempted to separate further, and completely, mankind from his spiritual inheritance by blinding him to it. Ahriman has created the illusion through the subtle promotion of reason that the sensual world and the forces therein are the only reality. Mankind has for centuries been hypnotised into believing that the phenomenal world is creation per se and that materialism is the only explanation of it. The godless religion of materialism has perniciously undermined all other explanations of reality and its very success has moved men to regard it not only as a desire but an end in itself. Under such an illusion the moral conscience of men is insidiously attacked as irrelevant and anachronistic causing ancient moral codes to be shunned and ridiculed. This moral decay has proceeded inexorably into the modern age wherein even life itself has been so undervalued that man himself has become slave to whatever political ideology that rules him. This grave danger is concretised in the Idea of the State.

The State, be it ostensibly founded on 'left' or 'right' politics, is the mechanism that Ahriman has carefully nurtured as his vehicle for total control of the actions and thoughts of the individual. This amoral situation renders the individual easy prey to the Luciferic powers that wait to ensnare the whole of humanity in their Evil web. It is this stratagem that Revelation describes when it informs us that the second beast is not openly visible but remains covertly in the background slyly working to betray mankind to the First Beast. That is, the Ahrimanic Principality works insidiously throughout modern social structures and relations to blind mankind to his spiritual inheritance and instil an amoral conscience, to then render him easy prey to the inducements of the Luciferic Principality.

The alliance between the Two Evil Powers is not static. The covert alliance is in perpetual flux, and continually manifests itself in new and myriad forms but it has come to its fullest expression in the fusion of science and technology; seen especially in the technology inspired by the Second World War. In this the great conflict was forged a new and terrible prospect: the union of atomic physics and aeronautical engineering. For, the spirit that inspired the scientists at Los Alamos in their efforts to build the atomic bomb was Lucifer, whilst simultaneously the Evil spirit Ahriman inspired the German engineers to develop their rocket technology.

These two diabolically inspired technologies were separated during the war but immediately after the conflict they were married together by American, British and Russian scientists who frantically searched for the German engineers to filch their rocket technology. The issue of this union was the ability to unleash at great distances the terrible power of nuclear fission bombs. The world had entered the time of the 'balance of terror' and Mutually Assured Destruction, a period in the world's history the prophet John the Divine called the Age of the Pale Horse. An age in which the Hosts of Hell and their wicked and Evil human agents are able to harness to their Evil Agenda the increasingly destructive weapons of mass destruction that have the capacity to annihilate mankind. The apparent ideological divide after the war created the tensions that fuelled the mass paranoia called the 'Cold War.' The ostensibly implacable foes of capitalism and communism were conceived as two ideological power structures supposedly in conflict with each other. The Churchillian metaphor of the Iron Curtain descending across Europe was apropos to the perceived reality at this time. However, hidden deep within these two contrasting ideologies laid the Two, Dual powers of Evil but in different guises. The Two Principalities of Evil concealed themselves well and masqueraded as two very different realities thus creating both expressions of contemporary Capitalism and Communism.

The outward appearances of these ideologies hide a common demonic theme: the creation of a new ruling aristocracy not based on blood and heredity. This new aristocracy in the capitalist system is based solely on the power of money, whilst in the communist system it is based on stifling hierarchic bureaucracy of the party elite. The tenor of both systems is Total Control of its people using the most modern computer technology to do so. The power to control the masses is derived from each of the Evil Principalities. The elite of the capitalist system maintain control by the use of Ahrimanic technology coupled to the Luciferic illusion that material gratification is freedom. The communist party elite maintained control by using a Luciferic bureaucracy predicated on the Ahrimanic and illusionary ideal of equality of opportunity for all. The reality of the ideological opposition is that it is no opposition at all but rather a classic form of lateral inversion: a mirror image that masks the true nature of both systems. They do not oppose but perfectly compliment each other. This is because they are both aspects of the Great Conspiracy against God that is orchestrated by the Two Dark Gods, Lucifer and Ahriman, who are the Two Faces of Evil and who are the true Overlords of Chaos in Creation and on Earth.

It is a sad truth, but the lofty and noble sentiment, "Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity," which is the watchwords of Freemasonry and what became the slogan of the mob during the French Revolution, is a cruel fallacy. None is free: none are equal; and mankind is forever at war. In eternal conflict with each other and with the dark spiritual powers that seek to ensnare humanity in their web of corruption. Evil exists, those who doubt it are fools or knaves. The people who worship the Dark Gods are called Luciferians and Satanists depending upon which principality they pledge allegiance to. These wicked people know Evil exists and they worship it hoping to gain temporal riches and power by pledging their souls to the Dark Gods. The world is ruled by very different people than the politicians most people understand to be the rulers of this Earth. A Secret Cabal of powerful men control the world through the vast network of secret societies that have many of the leading figures in banking, politics, the military, the media, and academia on its membership lists. History is not happenstance but scripted. Wars and revolutions occur for very different reasons than those given in official histories. They are planned by the Secret Cabal, who work to an agenda given to them by the gods they worship, not to defeat specific enemies but to change society. This is why enemies are deliberately created, empowered and encouraged by the very powerful forces that are the Shadow Government of this world.

Enemies are needed to precipitate wars and revolutions if none exist they are created. They are financed and supplied with everything they need to build themselves into a formidable foe .... then events and public perception are moulded to justify war against this threatening enemy. The French and American Revolutions, the American Civil War, the Boar War, the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War and the Vietnam War were all, each and every one of them, engineered by wicked evil men who are the real temporal powers on Earth. Millions upon millions of people have been killed in these wars believing that they fought against an enemy that threatened to destroy their country and culture. The real reason these wars were fought was that the Christian culture, Western civilisation and the Christ Impulse that energise it had to be destroyed to allow the Dark Gods, Ahriman and Lucifer, the Dual Faces of Evil, to incarnate on Earth. Society had to be fundamentally changed to allow the human agents of Evil to gain supreme power by toppling ancient royal bloodlines from their thrones and replacing them with Corrupt Liberal Democracies:characterised by gross materialism and utter moral degeneracy yet predicated on Tyranny.

That is why the International Bankers have been an integral part of this terrible conspiracy. These International Usurers have striven to ensnare royalty, nobility and gentry in their web of corruption by making them debtors and thus tractable and corruptible. These disciples of greed succeeded in wresting political control away from the ancient nobility by offering an equally ancient service  ..... usury. The venal men who have made money there god, spiritual heirs to moneychangers Christ threw out of the Temple, conspired to gain a monopoly over the world's  money supply, which they have now achieved. The agenda is incomparable genius because it is inspired by diabolic genius. Although the human agents of Evil are the mechanism on Earth to facilitate the attack upon Creation, it is the Overlords of Chaos who are the true masterminds of the agenda. And this is the age-old Evil Agenda that is a Luciferian Conspiracy, the Great Conspiracy, against God brought to Earth.

Evil therefore has Two Faces, which the ancient Greeks confronted and called Scylla and Charybdis. The Germanic tribes called this duality Midgard the serpent and Fenris the wolf. Whilst John the Divine described this Twofold Evil as the Two Beasts of the Apocalypse. The Two Faces of Evil appear in the New Testament as the composite figure 'Diabolos' who, as Satan, or as we have called him, Ahriman, first challenged Christ to turn stones into bread; and then as Lucifer, offered Christ dominion of the world. These two powerful spirits head two different aspects of Evil but who both seek to subvert Natural Moral Order and destroy Creation.  This is the Great Conspiracy against God and the Secret Cabal of men who rule this world from the shadows are the human agents of Evil that serve the Dark Gods

St. John the Apostle was the son of Zebedee (Matt. 4:21), younger brother of James the "Greater" (Matt. 4:21; 10:2; Mark 1:19; 3:17; 10:35)  fisherman on the Lake of Galilee, disciple of John the Baptist (John 1:35), disciple of Jesus Christ (Mark 5:37; 13:3 Matt. 17:1; 26:37), author of the  Johannine writings (the Fourth Gospel, the Three Epistles and the Book of Revelation). He was also the disciple whom Jesus loved who accompanied Christ to his trial by the Sanhedrin and  into the council chamber and thence to the praetorium (John 18:16; 18:19; 18:28) and ultimately to the place of Crucifixion (John 19:26-27). And, as John the Divine, suffered under persecution, was banished to the isle of Patmos in the Aegean (Rev. 1:9) where during his exile wrote Revelation, which is the record of prophetic visions given to him by Christ. An account containing visions and revelations of the future: an "apocalyptic" account containing a magnificent vision, in symbolical form, detailing the supreme conflict between Good and Evil and its issue. Christ is the central figure and His adversaries, collectively called by the great prophet, the "Beast." But, what is this composite figure called the "Beast"?

The Book of Revelation, also known as The Apocalypse, is the closing book and the only prophetical book of the New Testament canon, in it, John the Divine describes a figure of immense Evil and the greatest enemy of God and Christ who he called the "Beast." However, the "Beast" in the Holy Bible is a composite figure that is often used interchangeably and so its true nature is a source of great confusion. The "Beast" of the Bible is composite figure that in fact describes two dark spirits of immense power who are the Dual Faces of Evil: these are Dark Gods, "Lucifer" and "Satan," who on this website is also called "Ahriman."

"Lucifer" is one the Two Faces of Evil who is also called "Diabolos" and is the First Beast of the Apocalypse or "the seven-headed, ten-horned beast," which is described by John as arising from the sea (Rev. 13:1). It is also the Evil spirit that tempts Christ by offering him dominion of the world (Matt. 4:5-9). Other names for this Dark God is Leviathan (Job 41:1; Isa. 27:1) or, simply, the Devil. The Evil dominion this entity represents is called the Luciferic Principality.

"Satan," is the Second Face of Evil and is the Second Beast of the Apocalypse or the "two-horned beast," described by John as arising from dry land (Rev. 13:11) and who is the cold calculating Evil spirit that challenges Christ to turn stones into bread (Matt. 4:1-4). The other names given to this Dark God is Behemoth (Job 40:15) or Ahriman. The Evil dominion this entity represents is called the Satanic or Ahrimanic Principality. Thus, these Two Principalities and Powers, the Luciferic and the Satanic/Ahrimanic, represent the two dominions of the Dark Gods of immense power called Lucifer and Ahriman who are the Two Faces of Evil.

In the coming cataclysm, The First Beast of the Apocalypse is the dark spirit that comes from the sea (Rev. 13:1) and is the Evil spirit that in the Bible is called Lucifer and Diabolos. Lucifer, with his "death" and "resurrection," is a parody of Christ, arrogates divine honours and will be the Great Dictator in the coming New World Order. The Great Dictator is the human vehicle, a physical vessel, a man of flesh and blood, into which the First Beast (Lucifer) incarnates, symbolically represented in The Revelation of St John the Divine as the "scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns" (Rev. 17:3).

The Second Beast of the Apocalypse, in the coming cataclysm, is the Evil spirit that the Bible often calls Satan , symbolically represented in The Revelation of St John the Divine as the "two-horned beast [that] spake as a dragon," who arises from dry land (Rev. 13:11), which on this website is called Ahriman. This Beast from the Earth (Ahriman/Satan, with his lamb-like voice, signs and wonders who "exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him") is a parody of the Holy Spirit and deceives people into following the First Beast (Rev. 13:12). This Second Beast is the False Prophet or Antichrist (I John 2: 18-22) and is the Man of Lawlessness  (Matt. 24:5; 24:11; 24:24; Mark 13:6; 22; Luke 21:8; 2 Thess. 2:3-12; 1 John 2:18; 22; 2 John 7; Rev. 13:1-10).

The Antichrist appears only in The Gospel According to St. John; he is the "son of perdition" or the "one who was destined for destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled" (John 17:12). He is the dark spirit, incarnated in flesh and blood, who will usurp God's place in The Temple and deceive people with Satan-inspired signs and wonders (2 Thess.2 ). Antichrist is thus the human vehicle, a man of flesh and blood, into which the Second Beast (Ahriman/Satan) of Revelation, (the "two-horned beast,") incarnates. He is the Man of Lawlessness and is the embodiment of a specious Spirit of Lawlessness. And, this Antichrist (the human vessel of Ahriman/Satan) is the partner of the Great Dictator (the human vessel of Lucifer) in their unholy alliance to subvert Natural Moral Order on Earth and to replace it with the New World Order with them at its head. That is, in the coming New World Order the Antichrist (Ahriman/Satan) will be at the head of the One World Religion and the Great Dictator (Lucifer) will be at the head of the One World Government.
